rounding out the series of helsinki posts are all the remaining places we ate and drank! other than gaijin and nokka, of course. strangely enough, of the 3 coffee shops we went to, two have since closed permanently, and one is temporarily closed for renovations. pretty bummed about that, as they were great.

really loved this cute coffee shop with the dramatic mural and checkered floors. it felt lively and warm, and served a delicious flat white.

this little shop near the cathedral and main square had super cute pastries and was a great pit stop for an afternoon pick-me-up.

paulig kulma specialty coffee (permanently closed)

ekberg has been open since 1852 and is considered the oldest bakery and cafe in helsinki. we stopped in for lunch, but had to also get a coffee and finnish cinnamon roll.

on the day we went to löyly to experience finnish sauna, we also had a quick bite in their restaurant. the salmon soup is famous and did not disappoint.

we stopped in this bakery for a light lunch after walking around rock church, but i believe they have a couple other locations in the city.

it maybe felt a little silly dropping into a caviar shop for dinner, but they also had champagne and oysters so it was perfect for one night when we really weren’t feeling that hungry, but craving seafood as always.

a tasty meal inside a nearby hotel restaurant. they also had great cocktails and a good whisky selection, but i don’t have photos of those.

our hotel bar was a vibe, and a good one at that. only open a few nights a week (at least when we were there), but the bartenders were excellent and a lot of thought and care went into each cocktail.

this was an excellent cocktail bar. the drinks were strong and tasty, the bartenders knowledgeable and fun. we definitely got tipsy and had a good time here.

after drinking many cocktails, we just wanted beer for our last night in helsinki. black door had lots of local and craft beers on tap and was a great way to wrap up our time in helsinki. next up - copenhagen!
