the ladies of madcapra recently opened kismet in los feliz, in the former mother dough space on hollywood boulevard. instead of the former dark, industrial feel, kismet is light and bright - all whites, natural wood and gold accents.

marinated feta with squash, apple, nasturtium.

freekeh polenta with lamb, green chili, charred cabbage, poached egg.

shakshuka: poached eggs in tomato stew, bread.

we had a lovely brunch of middle eastern fare. i'm not very familiar with this type of food, and we didn't get to try many dishes, but everything we had was really fresh and super tasty. kismet is definitely going in our regular rotation of weekend brunch spots!
