blue bottle and blue skies in echo park.

we needed a pick-me-up on a hot saturday afternoon, so we ventured over to the newly opened location of blue bottle coffee in echo park. the space in the historic jensen recreation building and is a bright, clean, industrial space filled with natural light and lots of seating options.

i had an iced cappuccino and liege waffle, which came out warm and wrapped in coffee filters - a cute touch. the waffle it self was not quite savory, not quite sweet, and really very good.

echo park lake is only a block away, so we walked over there afterwards just to check things out on such a beautiful LA day.
