civil coffee opens in highland park.
the beautiful new civil coffee opened in highland park a couple weekends ago and we went on opening day to check it out!
it's a large open space, with lots of bright natural light. the navy, brass, wood and marble details were so lovely - i'll definitely be stealing some ideas for my own home! they serve espresso + milk in 4, 6 and 12 ounces. i'm a little bit sad that they opted for a 6 oz. instead of an 8 oz. - but that's just personal preference. LA Times did a lovely little writeup about civil before they opened, with more details about the morales brothers and what they will be serving (coava coffee roasters and food by roomforty).
they were very busy for their opening, so we decided to just order coffee and have brunch elsewhere, but we will definitely be back for more delicious coffee and to try the food.
