i love to eat and travel and document as much of it as i can.
All in events
brooklyn's popular weekly smorgasburg market opened in LA at the alameda produce market! the weather was over 100 degrees, but there were still lots of people out to get their bagels, lobsters, pizza, ramen burgers, coffee, noodle bowls, tacos, banh mi, hot dogs, poke, popsicles, etc!
a couple weekends ago, the institute of domestic technology hosted swine and wine, a hog butchery demonstration by mallet and cleaver's jered standing.
wanting to try something a little different for valentine's day this year, we bought tickets for roomforty's annual valentine's day winemaker dinner.
jonathan gold's list of 101 best restaurants in LA was released by the LA times last week, and they threw a launch party at union station to celebrate.
when i saw the menu of asian-inspired drinks with ingredients like coconut milk, matcha tea and yuzu, my interest was peaked.
our friends liz and laramie and their adorable son came to visit us over independence day weekend.
i managed to snag two tickets for the first night! needless to say, it was an amazing night, filled with amazing food, and even a few celebrity chef sightings.
i finally made it to artisanal la this past weekend! their spring 2015 show was atthe reef event space in downtown. in the past, i've really only been to craft shows, so it was a nice change of pace to attend an event much more heavily focused on local makers of food, beverage, and items for the kitchen and garden.
