bicyclette & manzke, pico robertson.
i write this post with a heavy heart. manzke and bicyclette are two restaurants in the same building (operated by the same owners) that we adore. we’ve been to both multiple times. we tell everyone we know how great they are, but they announced a couple weeks ago that they are both closing at the end of the month.
bicyclette is the french bistro downstairs that opened first. it has the best cocktails, the best bistro vibes and the best food. here are some of the photos i’ve taken over several different meals there:
this little single serving escargot dish might be the best thing ever. we order it every single time.
on one of our trips to bicyclette, they offered to show us the upstairs restaurant before it had opened. specifically, all the vintage spirits they had, which just added to our excitement to eventually be able to dine there.
the following photos are from our first time at manzke, which serves a full tasting menu. it became my favorite in the city, and only got better over time.
we have reservations to go to bicyclette one last time before they close. it will definitely be bittersweet, but i’m super excited for it.
