EP & LP, west hollywood.
E.P. & L.P. has been on my go-to list for awhile, but we so rarely venture out to west hollywood. when i found out we had to be in weho for an afternoon, i quickly made reservations.
the restaurant is actually just called E.P. and the rooftop bar is L.P. the space is very trendy and hip, and we were seated beneath a red "YOUNG AND FREE" neon sign. unfortunately, this meant that all of my pictures were too red saturated for me to color correct, so.. i will present all the food to you in black & white! the photos really don't do it justice.
kakoda: fijian style ceviche of baja kanpachi coconut milk, lime & chili.
sticky spare ribs: pork ribs, 5 spice caramel, pickled serrano chili, roasted rice.
the food was sooooo good here, every bite was packed with flavor. the balance of sweet, spicy and sour in each dish was like a happy party in my mouth, i honestly can't pick a favorite. the ceviche! the sticky spare ribs! the dan dan noodles! the curry! the mango pudding! i would happily order it all again, but there is still so much more i want to try.

scallop & mussel with tumeric & coconut curry w galangal, kaffir lime leaf & thai eggplant.
mango pudding with toasted coconut ice cream, citrus tapioca, puffed rice.
we were at E.P. on a saturday night and it was packed by the time we left. unfortunately, we were pretty tired and didn't actually make it up to the rooftop bar, L.P. guess we'll just have to go back, try more of the menu, and check out that bar!
