london coffee & eats.
switching gears a little bit from recapping our favorite meals in 2019 to finally finishing out posts from our trip to the UK earlier in the year. in addition to afternoon tea at sketch and dinner at st. john, we managed to sneak in a few other snacks and meals during our short two days in london.
omotesando koffee
our coffee shop of choice was omotesando koffee, a small and hyper-minimalist but bright little spot in fitzrovia. funnily enough, it was on our list of places to go when we were in tokyo a couple years back but didn’t make it.
Kerbisher & Malt at Market Hall Victoria

Market Hall Victoria is a two-story food hall with a couple bars and lots of yummy looking food options, but we were there for the fish & chips at kerbisher & malt. and they were amazing! we got there a little before the lunch rush and were quickly able to grab our food, some beers and a table, but it became very busy shortly after.

Tanakatsu
we had tickets to a show at sadler’s wells theatre, so we wanted something near the theatre that was simple yet comforting. tanakatsu fit the bill perfectly. just about a ten minute walk for sake, sashimi and some really good katsu.
